In other words, models of this family will be brought under the Uni brand and the Changan nameplates will be removed from them – previously the same thing happened in Russia with Exeed, which was originally presented as CheryExeed. The entire existing Uni line is sold on our market: this is the Changan Uni-V liftback, the compact Changan Uni-T crossover and the larger Changan Uni-K crossover. All three models will move into the range of a separate Uni brand, and two more Changan models will also be moved there.

Company representatives announced that Changan will launch a new sub-brand at the Russian-Chinese Automotive Forum. During 2024, all existing Uni models will be brought into a separate brand, and the current Changan line will be reduced to 11 models (currently there are 16). From this we can conclude that the Uni range will include not three, but five models: in addition to the Uni-V, Uni-T and Uni-K, it will include the Lamore sedan and the CS55 Plus crossover, which formally do not belong to the Uni family.

According to the Chinese Cars portal, citing a Changan representative, dealership centers will be divided into two zones. “Dealers who have large auto centers will be able to divide the buildings into two parts and present two lines at once,” he explained. “Those who now have small car dealerships will have to choose under which sign they will continue to operate.”

The line of Changan itself will be noticeably thinned out: in addition to the fact that in 2024 Lamore and CS55 Plus will become Uni, sales of CS55, pre-restyling CS35 Plus and CS95, CS75 FL and CS85 will end. It turns out that next year only five cars will be sold under the Changan brand – Alsvin and Eado Plus sedans, CS35 Plus, CS75 Plus and CS95 crossovers, as well as the Hunter Plus pickup truck.

Despite the reduction in the range, Changan expects to significantly increase sales: the plan for 2024 is 180 thousand cars (90 thousand Changan and Uni each). For Changan itself, the sales drivers should be the CS55 Plus and CS35 Plus – according to the plan, they will be sold in quantities of 40 and 35 thousand units, respectively. CS75 Plus will account for approximately 20 thousand units sold, while Alsvin and Uni-V will account for 12 thousand units each. The Lamore, Uni-K and Uni-T models should gather 12 thousand customers each, the Eado Plus sedan eight thousand, and the CS95 and Hunter Plus six thousand.
