A new version of the American brand’s crossover has been prepared for the European market. The Jeep Avenger e-Hybrid received the Stellantis mild-hybrid powerplant, familiar from Peugeot and Citroen. The system consists of a 1.2-liter Puretech turbocharged engine, a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and an electric motor built into the new 6-speed e-DCS6 preselective robot.

The peak output of the system is not specified, but it is known that the turbo engine produces 100 horsepower and 205 Nm, and the electric motor develops 28 horsepower and 55 Nm. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 5.1 liters per 100 kilometers, and carbon dioxide emissions are reduced by 15 percent compared to the conventional petrol manual version.

Jeep notes that the Avenger e-Hybrid can travel up to one kilometer at speeds of up to 30 kilometers per hour without activating the internal combustion engine. The crossover does not have all-wheel drive, and the “kinship” with other Jeep models will be ensured by special firmware with “off-road” modes Snow, Mud and Sand. Two more features of the 2024 Jeep Avenger are a folding sunroof and a massaging driver’s seat.

Prices for the Jeep Avenger e-Hybrid have not yet been announced, but you can expect the hybrid to cost around 30 thousand euros. For comparison, the basic version with “mechanics” will cost 27 thousand euros, and a “pure” electric car will cost 40 thousand euros.
