In the second half of this year, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant faced a “sharp and uncontrollable” increase in the cost of logistics: transportation of finished cars across Russia became more than twice as expensive. In this regard, from November 1, UAZ is forced to take a compensation measure. Now you will have to pay an extra 50 thousand rubles for delivering cars to car dealerships.

The delivery cost – 50 thousand rubles – will be included in the price lists of all models, notes the UAZ press service. The recommended retail price (RRP) of the cars remains unchanged.

There is an alternative: buyers who do not want to pay an extra 50 thousand can order a car using the RRP directly from the factory, choosing the model and equipment they like on the official UAZ website. However, they will have to wait from three to six months from the moment of placing the order and pick up the car in Ulyanovsk themselves.

In September, UAZ was again displaced from first place in the Russian pickup truck market. The Ulyanovsk Pickup turned out to be the second in sales, and the leader was the Chinese JAC T6 truck, which was chosen by 332 buyers. UAZ sold 288 units.
