The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant slightly improved the Patriot, Pickup and Pro models, writes the Quto portal. Cars from the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant from the “New Model Range” began to be equipped with special dampers for transmission control levers, which make the interior more acoustically comfortable for passengers and reduce vibrations.

They began installing dampers on UAZ SUVs in September: then the Patriot and Pickup received them, but only in the Base Icarus configuration with the Limited package. Now the modification is available in all versions, as well as for the “Pro” truck. Car prices remained the same.

In parallel, UAZ is working on a more serious modernization of the Patriot. As Sollers reported last summer, the SUV will be given a fresh appearance and will also be equipped with a diesel engine coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. This will be a supercharged unit from the Chinese brand JAC.

However, Patriot will not be the first to receive diesel. They will start equipping UAZs with Chinese engines from “Profi”. Since July they have been produced in Elabuga: heavy fuel engines with a volume of 2.0 and 2.7 liters with a capacity of 130 and 150 horsepower, respectively, are already installed on the Sollers Argo and Atlant.
