As Top Gear reports, citing the head of the MINI brand, Stephanie Wurst, the current generation of Clubman will be the last – the model’s life cycle is coming to an end, it will be discontinued in the coming months, and there will be no direct replacement for it. The station wagon did not live up to the company’s expectations, demand for it is falling – it is twice as slow in sales as the Countryman. The farewell version for Clubman was the Final Edition.

The Clubman Final Edition is limited to 1,969 units. This refers to the year the model appeared on the market: in the late 60s, brand designer Roy Haynes said that with the introduction of the British Leyland Mini Clubman station wagon to the market, “the belief that only ugly things can be functional has disappeared.” The Clubman was relaunched in 2007; it changed generations in 2015 and is still on sale today. Orders for this model will be accepted until February 2024, after which it will disappear from the MINI model line.

One hundred copies of the “farewell” version will be sent to the USA – sales there will start in October this year. Prices start at $47,145 (4.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate).

The Clubman Final Edition features three exclusive exterior colors combined with copper trim and side stripes in a copper shade. On the rear stock of each car is the car’s serial number – “1 of 1969”. The same number plate is found in the interior, which is finished in Sage Dark Green with copper accents.

According to Stephanie Wurst, the empty niche will be filled by the Countryman and the upcoming electric Aceman, although neither is a direct replacement for the station wagon.
