One of the dealers has a FAW Bestune M9 model for sale – Rossiyskaya Gazeta drew attention to this. For a minivan, which is not officially represented on our market, the seller is asking 5,950,000 rubles: that’s how much a 2023 single-volume model with a two-liter turbo engine, complemented by a 48-volt starter-generator, will cost.

The M9 is a direct competitor to another Chinese MPV, the GAC GN8, and is also the largest model in the Bestune lineup. It is an affordable version of the luxurious Hongqi HQ9: the interior is simpler (without wooden inserts in the interior and ultra-luxurious seats), and there are fewer options. Accordingly, it costs less in China: 230-250 thousand yuan (2.9-3.2 million rubles) versus 360 thousand yuan (4.57 million) for the Hongqi HQ9.

The power plant of the Bestune M9 and HQ9 is the same: a 2.0-liter turbo-four with a capacity of 252 horsepower, which is assisted by a 48-volt starter-generator. The transmission in both cases is an eight-speed automatic, and the drive is only front-wheel drive. The M9 accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 8.9 seconds, with a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour.

If you believe the classifications, a batch of 12 Bestune M9 copies was brought to Russia, all of them in black and in the uncontested Zunxiang Edition configuration. The equipment list includes 17-inch wheels, faux leather and Alcantara, parking sensors, cruise control, multi-zone climate control, panoramic roof and more.
