At a meeting of the board of directors on December 8, the Kama Automobile Plant approved its development strategy until 2030. This is stated on the manufacturer’s website. According to the strategy, in six years the company expects to increase the assembly of trucks by one and a half times – up to 60 thousand units per year. Almost every seventh truck will be sent abroad.

Until 2030, KamAZ plans to invest 380 billion rubles in the development and development of vehicles. The emphasis will be on a new product line, including the new generation of K5+ trucks, new versions of Compasses, as well as carbon-free and automated vehicles.

New areas include mining dump trucks and all-terrain vehicles, and a service ecosystem. In addition, funds have been allocated for the modernization of production facilities.

Investments will allow increasing revenue to 806 billion rubles, KamAZ expects. At the end of 2023, the car plant earned approximately 2.5 times less. And in 2022, it produced 43.4 thousand trucks, earning 267 billion rubles.

In November, KamAZ showed an unmanned Robocop dump truck for working in quarries and open-pit mines. However, it turned out that the new product used “sanctioned” equipment: the American Allison assault rifle and the Finnish Sisu bridges. The manufacturer of the autonomous driving elements is unknown.
